Princess Vera's story begins... ..........
Oh hi everyone, my name is Vera Ng Yu Ting. Mummy Val & Daddy Pierre named me Vera bcos my Mummy's name starts with 'V', so my name also starts with 'V'. Vera is also a name of a hotel in Turkey where Mummy, Daddy, Grandpa & Grandma brought me to when I was one month+ old (just a small pea in mummy's womb).
Everymonth Mummy will bring me to see Dr Tan H.K. @ SGH to see me in that black & white screen! I was a very good girl, only made Mummy have a little morning sickness. I don't like fish so mostly I have got Mummy to feed me with steak & rich, tasty food.
My EDD was supposed to be 13.08.08. Mummy brought me for checkup on 11.08.08 then Dr Tan mentioned Mummy's cervix dilated 2 cm, so got her to self-admit to labour ward on 12.08.08 morning. After the checkup, Mummy & Daddy brought me for a walk @ Vivo City. We had a wonderful lunch then headed back home.
12.08.08 morning, Mummy woke up at 0800 hrs & went for Mac breakfast before heading to SGH. We checked into the labour ward at 1000 hrs. @ 1200 hrs, the nurses pricked my swimming pool then my pool started to leak water. They also injected 2 drips on Mummy. @ 1700 hrs, Mummy wana try on the nitrous oxide gas mask, only inhaled 3x. Soon after, Mummy vomitted like a Merlion! Her clothes, bed, hair all were stained with the vomit....EEeee gross!! Mummy was having contraction every 1-2 mins, but most of the contractions ain't intense enough. She took a pain relief jab on her thigh which comes her to nap for a while. Almost every 4 hrs, the dr will come to check for the dilation. But after checking 2 times, only dilated 4 cm. @2115 hrs, Dr Tan was on the line. Both he & Mummy discussed & think that CZ will be a wiser option. So in the next few mins, the nurses arranged Mummy for emergency CZ & both of us were pushed into the labour ward.
Mummy took the half body anthesthia, althought she knew about the movements at her tummy, she didn't feel any pain. I was fighting with Dr Tan bcos I wana stay with Mummy but he kept pulling me out! After a fierce fight, Dr Tan played cheat, he used the vacuum to suck me out. So before they cleared the fluid from my air passage, I already started to cry....haha! I heard Dr Tan & others saying that I was very fierce but I had Good Lungs bcos I was crying so loudly!! & So I was out @ 2213 hrs on 12.08.08!
I have stayed in the nursery most of the times bcos Mummy needs to rest after operation. I was very impatient cos Mummy had a hard time trying to breastfeed me....haha. I was a healthy baby, on Day 2, the doc already said I could be discharged. So on 15.08.08, we were discharged from SGH.
